Club History

There has been a clubhouse
in Lower Bourne for over a Century.
The building itself has an unusual background, having been a barrack hut for Canadian Army troops during the Great War of 1914-1918. After the armistice the hut was vacated by them and donated to the local community. The club moved to it's present site in 1921. The club hosted the Bourne branch of The Royal British Legion up until 2016 and was affiliated to the CIU from then until 2022.
.
The Club provides many facilities for the local community, hosts a nursery during weekdays until 15:00 and in the evening offers bowls, darts, snooker and line dancing, providing the home for a number of local teams. The club facilities are available for hire - please ask at the bar for details.
